INAUGURATION CEREMONY OF THE STEPHEN A. ENYONG ACADEMIC BLOCK

On Wednesday, December 17th, 2024, a significant milestone was celebrated at the JAOF University Institute of Science (JHIS) with the inauguration of the newly constructed academic block. This state-of-the-art building, now officially named the Stephen A. Enyong Academic Block, honors the late Stephen A. Enyong, a beacon of inspiration for the founder of JHIS, Professor Julius Oben.

During the ceremony, Professor Oben shared the profound reasons for naming the building after Stephen Enyong:

“Stephen A. Enyong was more than just a mentor to me, he was an inspiration. His dedication and entrepreneurial spirit helped shape my own path. By naming this building after him, we honor his legacy and remind ourselves of the powerful impact one person can have on many lives. 

Stephen’s commitment to education and excellence is something we want to carry forward with this new building.”

The event was further enriched by the talents of JHIS students. The Design and Clothing Trades students showcased their stunning creations, adding an artistic flair to the celebration. The Music Club (Ice Ban) delighted the guests with beautiful music, while the Dance Club dazzled everyone with their energetic and captivating performances. These student contributions highlighted the amazing creativity and talent nurtured within the JAOF University Insitute of Science.

This milestone occasion was graced by several distinguished guests, including the wife and children of the late Stephen A. Enyong, who were present to honor his memory. 

The Stephen A. Enyong Academic Block is a modern, top-notch facility designed to provide a space where students can learn, grow, and succeed. It will serve as a hub for the exchange of ideas, where students can explore their passions, collaborate, and reach their academic and professional goals.
